If anyone picked up a blue Mizuno Barcelona Marathon tracksuit top at the race on Easter Sunday by accident please get in touch as it has sentimental value to the owner. Thanks.
The Easter Bunny defied the damp conditions to join the entrants in the Run The Bridge event on Easter Sunday. There was an "eggcellent" turn out with 783 runners from all over the North West, Wales and even as far as Eastleigh, Hampshire.
The iconic Silver Jubilee Bridge provided the back drop as the runners spent their morning pounding the route from Runcorn to Hale Village. Spectators gathered along the route and in Hale Park to cheer friends and relatives across the finish line.
The fastest male Elly Tarvs, Salford Harriers finished in just 26mins and the fastest female, for the fifth time since 2004, was Jennifer Clague, Liverpool Harriers in 30:21 .
Many took part to raise money for charity including Help for Heroes, Team Harry and our nominated charity Macmillan Cancer Support. More than £8000 has been raised over the past few years from part of the entry fee and runners sponsorship for this worthy cause.
Organisers would like to thank all the volunteers that helped make it happen, without them it would not be possible.
The route took runners from Runcorn Railway Station to the picturesque village of Hale. There was a free cup of tea, hot cross bun and a T-shirt for all finishers.
